Dear Tico Winder
So we blinked and another season flew by. It wasn’t as great, wind wise, as the 08/09 season but no one who stayed more than 3 days got skunked. As always at Tico Wind it’s not just about the wind, it’s meeting up with old friends and making new ones. For those of you who didn’t make it down this year (Jim and Jimmy, and Manchester Bob amongst others) let’s hope you get on the water with us next winter. Á propos next winter opening day is confirmed as 25th November so the Thanksgivers amongst you can start looking at good priced flights to take advantage of our opening special. Prices are not ready yet as we are waiting for our partners to come up with the accommodation prices but should be ready to publish on the web page by the end of June together with details of specials during the course of the whole season.
Those of you concerned about the water level don’t have much to worry about. The rainy season kicked in early and although it took a week off and the wind blew again just when we finished our ‘take down’ (lucky me 18-25 knts 5 days on the trot), Danny has reported that it rained consistently since I left Costa Rica.
The new 2011 gear is already ordered and I should be getting a preview here in Munich in the next couple of weeks, more at the end of the month.
