This
year more private houses for rent |
|||||||||
Dear
Tico Winder You’ll notice that our rates have risen, it’s the first time since 2001 and we’ll be working hard to make sure you think it’s still great value for money. Many of you will have seen that we are now offering also private houses for rent. This is a natural progression after Rock River Lodge closed its doors. It’s important to note that all the properties we offer either have large safes or daytime security. They also offer alternatives for those interested in self catering or have small groups. As always there will be the right selection of new gear. As always our core board will be JP’s Freestyle-Wave with the Real World Wave and X-Cite ride coming into their own on bigger and lighter days, respectively. Last season we introduced No Limitz skinnies to the gear line up. They were very well received by the girls and the lighter guys so we will continue to offer a mixture of Standard and skinnies again this season. Christl has also been hard at work (2 jobs as always) making changes to the web page, so if you get time check-out the new look web page for videos and pics of YOU, together with the latest info. Its early days yet to have an idea of how the lake level will be this season as the most rain in the Arenal region actually falls in September and October but it looks like the walk to the water may be back to “normal levels” this season. Those of you who visited last season will know of the sad loss of three of our shade giving palm trees due to bug attacks. (We didn’t have Norton “Palm Security”!) At the end of the season we replaced them with a couple of varieties of “Ficus”. They seemed to have taken, with new shoots and leaves showing just before our hurried departure to Germany. And we are waiting for some up to date pics of how they are progressing and will post them on the web page as soon as they come in. Take care and see you soon Peter & Christl |
