Kitesurfing is often classed as an extreme
sport, but don’t let that dissuade you from learning. Once
you have learned how to control the kite YOU are in control. If
you want to push the limits fine, go ahead, learn how to boost
huge jumps, pull off “kite-loops”, F16’s or
whatever the latest extreme moves are called. But if you want
to get a rush simply kiting back and forth with smooth turns or
aerial transitions then don’t think twice, go for it! Learning
to kite has never been safer. Tico
Wind teaches exclusively with Cabrinha Kites “Override TM
2" system. All students are
required to wear a life jacket and helmet. Safety is paramount
and there are only 1 student per instructor.
Initial body dragging is done with Student and instructor attached
by means of a harness. When the student is “solo”
in the water the instructor is on the jet-ski ready to help. The
instructor is in radio contact with shore at all times.
Our beginner kite course is broken down
into 3 parts.
Each part takes 3 hours and costs $150. |
